Please note that the mains power does not run the tools, there must be a charged battery locked into the main dock location. The mains power is able to charge a battery connected to the SCP (Secondary Charge point - little green/blue connector on the side) while another battery runs the tools. Or if the red button is pressed then the battery in the main dock will charge as long as the SCP is locked into place in the cradle.
The SCP is the blue part in the image below. To charge a battery in the main dock (under the start stop buttons) this SCP must be locked into place as shown. The most direct connection to the charger is to use this SCP fitted to the top of the battery. This leaves the main dock free to run tools.
